Hi. My name is Jaci. My birthday is February 1st, 1999. I was born with a condition
called Gastroschisis. This means my intestines were on the outside of my body.
My special doctor, Dr. Caniano, put all my intestines back in. It took her 12 days.
Then I stayed in the NICU at Childrens Hospital until I was 4 months. My parents
came and visited. They took me home on June 24th, 1999.
I have been in the hospital alot. I have a very special Dr. Her name is Dr. Balint.
She has helped me since I was a baby. I go to Cincinnati Childrens Hospital's
Liver Transplant Center. I will be listed on the transplant list in December. I am 9
now and in the 3rd grade. I like to play and draw alot. I like frogs too. My mom
and dad will tell you more about me, I want to go out and play now!
